TeacherActive is proud to be working with a school in Hengoed that provides dedicated support for pupils with additional learning needs. The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment, with a Learning Resource Base designed to provide pupils with the individual support they need to engage with their education.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work within the Learning Resource Base, supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, complex needs and challenging behaviour while helping them access learning and develop their independence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

andbull; Experience supporting children or young people with ALN
andbull; Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs
andbull; Experience managing challenging behaviour in an education or care setting
andbull; A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
andbull; Strong communication and relationship-building skills
andbull; A willingness to work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
