Job Description
Minerals andamp; Waste Planner - Environmental Impact Assessment Focus
We are currently working with a well-established planning consultancy to recruit a Minerals andamp; Waste Planner with strong Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) knowledge to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner looking to work within a collaborative and specialist environment, offering exposure to a varied project portfolio across minerals, waste, and environmental planning.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting and delivering minerals and waste planning projects, with a particular focus on Environmental Impact Assessment work. The successful candidate will work closely with a close-knit team of planning professionals and environmental specialists on a range of complex and high-profile developments.
Responsibilities will include:
andmiddot;Preparing and managing planning applications for minerals and waste developments
andmiddot;Supporting and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
andmiddot;Producing planning statements and technical reports
andmiddot;Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
andmiddot;Advising clients on planning strategy and environmental considerations
andmiddot;Assisting with project delivery from inception through to determination
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
andmiddot;Previous experience within minerals and/or waste planning
andmiddot;Strong working knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
andmiddot;Excellent report writing and communication skills
andmiddot;A proactive and collaborative approach to project work
andmiddot;MRTPI qualification or working towards chartership is desirable
